Just wanted to add that after a single improvement (permanent small bonus), this message suddenly appeared: "This zone offers nothing more than minimal "natural" protection." You'll just need to make do with what comes to hand. My message (before and after improvement) was: You reckon your chances of surviving here are largely satisfactory, as long as nothing unforeseen happens.
