Upon reading, the Stack of Papers provides players with a roleplay text and awards them a rare distinction. But only if they didn't discover any given text previously, in that case the distinction isn't awarded. If players weren't credited with finding any in previous towns due to death before day 5, they risk not get the distinction for finding that given text at all afterwards.
