The hammer of hammers, the sawing of saws, the hacking of hacksaws, the metalling of metal, they all take place in this important building. Who knows who had the idea of it? Some say it was named after it's inventor, other claim the the brilliant man was named after one! No one really knows, suffice to say that stuff gets converted here.
The advancement of a town depends on the construction of a shabby workshop full of nondescript clutter. It is a pre-requisite for the construction of other more advanced buildings.
Using the workshop initially costs 3
per item. The
cost can be reduced two ways:
- Constructing a
Factory will permanently reduce the
cost by 1. - Finding a
Broken Hacksaw and repairing it (to yield a
Hacksaw) will reduce the
cost by 1, but only if it is in your inventory while doing conversions.
Note that these methods stack-- having both a
Factory and
Hacksaw will reduce the
cost to 1. Having a second
Hacksaw in your inventory does not give a further bonus, however. Also be sure to place the
Hacksaw back in the bank, lest you wind up being shunned.
