Just wanted to add that after a single improvement (permanent small bonus), I think massages appear. For example, there was: "After a quick look around, it looks like you could find a good hiding place here." and "This zone offers nothing more than minimal "natural" protection." You'll just need to make do with what comes to hand"

Topography Maybe someone could keep track of the messages posted after "improving" the campsite? I know that without improvement, it's blank. And there's a "minimal cover" one.
