When you just can't do it yourself, it's always nice to have someone there to bring you home. The
Escort Mode allows you to be dragged along through the
Desert by a
Hero.
Features
- Anyone can be escorted, but only
Heroes can escort.
Only Heroes have the skills needed to guide other citizens in the World Beyond... - One person can escort up to four
Citizens at once. - Escortees still contribute
Control Points. - Escortees can be given
Food and
Water, but not drugs or alcohol. - Escortees can be prompted to
Search any zone, but they cannot search
Ruins. - By default the escortees cannot be taken further away from
Town, only closer, unless marked otherwise. - By default the escort can view the escortees'
Inventory and pick up/drop items, but only if marked so by the escortee.
Inventory
- Certain objects cannot be dropped:
-
Water Ration - Food (confirm types):
- 7
food
- 6
food -
Doggy Bag -
Armageddon Lunch Box
- 6
- 7
- Drugs (confirm types):
-
Twinoid 500mg - ...
-
- Weapons (including furniture):

-
Notes
- When a user clicks "Wait for an Escort" the text "[escortee] has decided to wait for an escort..." appears in the zone and the user is given two options with checkboxes:
- Don't allow my escort to take me further away from the town: (this is checked by default).
- Allow the objects in my rucksack to be viewed and used (this is unchecked by default).
- Successfully activated escort mode is indicated by:
- "[hero] has convinced [escortee] to follow them." line in the zone register;
- A pop-up reading "[resident] has agreed to follow you."
- Stopping others from following is indicated by:
- "Finally, [hero] decided to leave [resident] there..." line in the zone register;
- A pop-up reading "[resident] is no longer following you."
- While being escorted, users cannot view the in-game map or their inventory, either they can perform any actions on their own, except for leaving the escorting party. Once an escortee leaves the party their interface is returned to normal.
- When leaving escort mode, the text "[escortee] has finally decided to take back their independance." appears in the zone register.
- In case of falling due to
Leg Injury:
- All players engaged into escort are prevented from moving;
- The escorting player receives a pop-up warning them that something went wrong, advising to address the issue.
