Hardcore Changes

Listed below are changes between regular distant towns and a Hardcore town.

Damage to Defenses

Defensive Objects in the bank can be destroyed during an attack. The rate of DO destruction appears to be directly coupled to attack size (not overflow sizes).

At 23:00 server time, the defensive constructions in town can become damaged, and if they are not repaired, they can even be destroyed. Buildings are repaired through the Construction Sites tab in town through the spending of APs (or technician CPs).

Defensive constructions which have been damaged provide less defence points.

Defensive constructions which become completely destroyed need to be rebuilt, costing the same AP and materials as when first built

If a parent building is destroyed then it's children will continue to function however they can not be repaired until the parent is restored.

-The amount of prebuilt constructions were decreased significally.

-The amount of free hero days you get if you are the last man standing is doubled. Note that there is a seperate Hardcore - LMS rare achievement which is gained as well as a regular LMS.

-Initial water reserves are decreased.

-Camping survival chances are significantly lowered.

-Chance to die from infection at 23:00 increased to 75%.

-Chances to injure someone with the 'assault' option increased.

-External apps are limited in functionality due to the XML feeds being truncated in Hardcore towns. All auto-updaters are disabled or will not work correctly. Some apps may still allow manual zone updates (DtD)
