Drinking a water ration will quench thirst when traveling and working in the World Beyond. This will restore up to six Action Points once per day. Everyone in the city is can collect one water ration at the Well per day, provided there is at least one water ration available.
- If a player does not drink enough water, they will become Thirsty. This happens faster in the desert, and happens in the morning if the player has not drunk any water the night before. Builders staying in town can usually survive drinking water every other day. Eating food makes you thirsty faster, so it is recommended to restore AP by eating before restoring AP by drinking water.
- If left Thirsty for long enough, that player will become Dehydrated. If the player ends the day thirsty, he/she will wake up dehydrated.
- If left Dehydrated for long enough, that player will die. If the player ends the day dehydrated, he/she will die.

Other Uses
A Water Ration, like some other consumable items in the game world, may be poisoned. Once poisoned, any player that consumes the Water Ration will immediately(?) die. A poisoned Water Ration will appear for all intents and purposes to be a regular Water Ration, but will not stack with normal Water Rations in the bank. This is the only known way to discern poisoned items at the moment.
