Corpses are the remains of [[Death|dead]] citizens. If a citizen is outside when they die, they are not a problem, and will also produce a {{MetaInline|Meaty Bone}} in the zone they died in. There are 3 ways to remove corpses.

* - Use a {{MetaInline|Water Ration}} to neutralise the corpse.

* - Drag them out of town (requires 2 {{AP}} and they will join the horde every night. Citizens that die outside will also be in the horde).)

* - Put them into the {{MetaInline|Cremato-Cue}} (requires the {{MetaInline|Cremato-Cue}} being built). Will produce 4x {{MetaInline|Human Flesh}}.

It is recommended to drag the body out of town or use the {{MetaInline|Cremato-Cue}}, if built. Sprinkling the corpse uses a valuable water ration.

There is a [[Distinctions|Distinction]] for performing each of the above three actions. {{MetaInline|Sprinkler}}, {{MetaInline|Cadaver Collector}}, {{MetaInline|Extreme Barbecue Chef}}.

In a zombie apocalypse, the bodies start to pile up. Friends and enemies alike, they all start to weigh down on you. Normally this would mean more graveyards, but some of these bodies aren't going down without a fight...

There are corpses knocking on your door every night, but it's particularly devastating to see them take on familiar faces. When citizens in your town die, they almost always join the hordes of hungry creatures ravaging your house at midnight, growling with the rest of them. There are certain ways to deal with these unwanted types, some better than others.

Corpse's attack Gazette text:

† (Citizen) dragged their huger-driven corpse to (Citizen)'s house, smashed their door in rage, grabbed their head and smashed it against the wall in a bloody display of cerebral fireworks. Never forget to recycle dead citizens. Never!!

House text:

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THIS CORPSE? (Citizen), dead though they are, there is a good chance that their body could be contaminated by infectious agents from (Town name). Therefore the corpse has to be watered or thrown out before it gets back up and attacks its fellow former citizens this very evening...

Citizen's list text:

  • (Citizen's) corpse has not been destroyed. It's entirely possible that it'll decide to wake up and eat you alive tonight.
  • By dying outside the town, (citizen) has not left their fellow citizens in peace... yet.
  • The way (Player who disposed of the corpse) got rid of the lifeless body of (citizen) was pretty disgusting... (after they have been dragged out of town)
