If Human CPs are equal to or more than zombie CPs, humans will control the zone; otherwise, any and all humans are trapped. There are a number of ways to increase your control points, to maximum of 7 (Guardian holding a Car Door, with Healthy Body and Brick S**thouse perks):

Be a Guardian

Guardians have an extra 2 CP because of their Item shield.gifItem shield.gifRiot Shield Riot Shield.

Hold a Car Door

Item car door.gifItem car door.gifCar Door Car Door give and extra 1 CP.

Have Healthy Body or Glass Armour

They are both Hero loyalty bonuses. Note that Glass Armour is unconfirmed, but exists in the French version of die2nite. Healthy Body requires the Status clean.gifStatus clean.gifClean Clean Status.
