The following is known about the Initial Map Setup in Die2Nite:
- Regular towns are 10x10 - Distant towns are 12x12.
- Every distant town map has 10 special zones on it
- Initial zombie distribution centers around special zones - special zones will start with 4+ zombies them, zones 1-2
from special zones will have fewer - Town can be placed one column or row "off-centre" - a centred town would have five rows to the left of it and six to the right (or vice versa) and the same top/bottom. An off-centre town would have 4 rows/columns on one side and 7 on the other.
Questions to answer:
- Do regular towns also have 10 special zones?
- Min/Max starting zombie numbers for special zones?
- Can a town be both one column and one row "off-centre"?
We have 13x13 map. Town have 5 rows to the left and 7 to the right, 5 bottom and 7 top. "The thatch of dying flesh" --Sklavit
- If 2 special zones are next to each other, do they each get special-zone zombies AND next-to-a-special-zone zombies?
