Midnight passes through the town bringing terror and dread. The zombies, moaning and clawing held at bay for another night.

Thank God for our defences, Dragnauv thinks as he heads out of town, his rucksack carrying only the bare essentials, a tasty dish he prepared just before the nights attack, water for the long walk ahead and a rusty chain just in case something out in the wasteland though he looked like a tasty dish.

After several hours of exploring and searching the long day caught up with Dragnauv who stopped focusing on the task at hand, only for one moment, but one moment was all it took, Dragnauv was surrounded by zombies.

'Taste the pain' Dragnauv yelled, as in one long swinging arc he bought the chain down on a zombies head. Stunned he watched as more rust than chain it disintegrated on impact.

Luckily for Dragnauv a small group of scavengers appeared from nearby, drawn by his premature battle cry, their arrival giving Dragnauv just enough of a distraction to make a break for it.

Dragnauv slowly backed away from the zombies and just as he was about to make his move for town he heard a light mewling coming from the direction of a pile of rubbish, an upturned trash bin specifically, flipping the bin over he is both surprised and delighted to see a young kitty looking slightly worse for wear and covered in all sorts of stains from its time in the upturned bin.

Kneeling down to pick the poor defenceless kitty up, Dragnauv is in awe as the cat runs over towards the nearest zombie and in a flurry of hisses, bites and scratches rips its head off, turns and saunters back claiming Dragnauv as a new master.
