The '''Town Gates''' are the only entrance to town, and also track citizen's outside by way of a map. You can plan the days expeditions on the map.

The gate costs 1 {{AP}} to open and close, whilst closed noone may enter or exit the town. {{MetaInline|Ventilation System}} and Heroic rescue allow heroes to bypass a closed gate. The teleport function of the {{MetaInline|Watchtower}} does not allow you to travel through closed gates. The {{MetaInline|Labyrinth}} adds a 1 {{AP}} cost to pass through the gate, although this may be bypassed with a watchtower teleport. The {{MetaInline|Portal Lock}} prevents the gate from being reopened in the final 20 minutes before {{MetaInline|The Attack}}. The {{MetaInline|Automatic Piston Lock}} closes the gate automatically 30 minutes before {{MetaInline|The Attack}}, while its upgrade the {{MetaInline|Last Minute Lock}} closes the gate in the final minute.

All the daily comings and goings through the gate are logged in the gate {{MetaInline|Registers|displayname=Register}}
